Red Label Vacations Inc. will donate 1% of sales made on August 17 to SickKids Foundation
The company’s longstanding commitment to corporate philanthropy continues.
MISSISSAUGA, ON – As a leader in the Canadian travel industry, H.I.S.-Red Label Vacations Inc. (RLV) has been supporting the SickKids Foundation since 2016 with various corporate philanthropy initiatives. This year, they’re back with a charitable donation of 1% of all sales from both the wholesale and retail divisions on August 17, 2022, to SickKids Foundation. With their annual charity golf tournament and SickKids walk still ahead in 2022, this will be a great way to kick off their support of this meaningful partnership. To date, RLV has raised over 1.5 million dollars for the SickKids Foundation.
“The SickKids Foundation is a cause that deeply matters to our organization,” says Frank DeMarinis, CEO, H.I.S.-Red Label Vacations Inc. “Giving back to such a special community full of families and children who desperately rely on this type of unique care is something we always have at the forefront of what we do. We are thrilled to be able to utilize our corporate platform to contribute to the SickKids Foundation in a way where our customers can be a part of the pledge.”
Donations will go directly to the Labatt Family Heart Centre at SickKids and will allow for further innovation in research and care while helping train the next generation of leaders in cardiac critical care and cardiovascular surgery. As a result of the funds raised to date by RLV, the hospital was able to move forward with the renovation of the Cardiac Operating Suite, which is one of the hospital’s busiest operating rooms where surgeons will treat the most complex heart conditions in the province (Ontario).
“We are incredibly grateful to have partners like RLV who continue to show tremendous generosity towards SickKids,” says Adam Starkman, Vice President, Corporate Partnerships at SickKids Foundation. “Through turbulent times for travel, the RLV team and their industry partners have gone above and beyond to fundraise for critical programming in the hospital like the Labatt Family Heart Centre. That level of dedication to the cause helps make the centre at SickKids among the top three heart centres in the world, where innovation is consistently leading to better outcomes for patients with heart disease.”
This one day of sales donations complements other year-round activities that RLV organizes to raise money and awareness for the SickKids Foundation. This includes its 7th Annual Charity Golf Classic tournament happening this year on September 8, 2022, for which RLV thanks all its participating partners and suppliers that are a part of this special event. There will also be a 5-kilometre walk and a silent auction. Travel agents can also donate their Loyalty Rewards Points to the SickKids Foundation by visiting www.travelbrandsaccess.com.
