TravelBrands announces changes to Sears Travel

MISSISSAUGA, ON – TravelBrands Inc. (TravelBrands) currently has a license from Sears Canada Inc., to use the name “Sears Travel” in carrying on TravelBrands’ retail travel business. Effective as of October 20, 2017, TravelBrands will no longer provide travel services under the brand name “Sears Travel” as a result of Sears Canada Inc.’s CCAA filing. All Sears Travel stores will be vacated as well.

All past, current and future bookings made under the brand Sears Travel will remain as bookings and customers of TravelBrands. TravelBrands will continue to support both bookings and customers post October 20, 2017. Neither the customers nor their bookings will, in any way, be adversely affected by this. All of TravelBrands Inc.’s retail travel supplier contracts used by the brand Sears Travel will also continue (notwithstanding the October 20, 2017) to the end of their term.
