MISSISSAUGA, ON – On September 7, 2017, TravelBrands hosted its fourth annual golf tournament which brings awareness and donations for the SickKids Foundation. Through the strong support of suppliers, agents and employees, TravelBrands surpassed its goal and raised $252,500 for the SickKids Labatt Family Heart Centre. The donation amount was announced and presented to SickKids at the end of the golf tournament, hosted at Eagles Nest Golf Club.

“Our goal this year was to raise $200,000 and I am proud to say we passed it,” says Frank DeMarinis, President & CEO, TravelBrands. “I would like to thank our partners, staff and suppliers for making our event a huge success and helping us give back to a meaningful cause.”

Between the food, helicopter ball drop and million dollar shootout, there was nonstop fun at the golf tournament. Sponsored by Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment (MLSE), the online-based silent auction held during the tournament raised $36,250 alone. Notable items include all-inclusive vacations, cruises, signed sports gear, hockey game tickets and Cirque Du Soleil tickets. We would like to thank all the suppliers of the auction items, including Royal Caribbean Cruise, Marival Resort & Suites, Sonesta Great Bay Beach Resort, Carnival Cruise, Celebrity Cruises, NCL and the Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino.

To date, TravelBrands has raised over $700,000 for the SickKids Foundation. This year, all proceeds will be contributed towards the SickKids’ Labatt Family Heart Centre to support their goal of becoming the leading pediatric heart disease centre in the world.
