Our Initiative

All net proceeds from the TravelBrands Annual Golf Classic will directly benefit the Labatt Family Heart Centre at SickKids Hospital. By supporting SickKids’ mission of providing the best in child and family-centred care and creating ground-breaking clinical and scientific advancements, we can help improve outcomes for these vulnerable patients. The SickKids Foundation ensures that all complications associated with heart defects don't stop their young patients from living full lives. We are grateful for your support as we work together to positively impact these families lives.

Our Impact

Every year in Canada, 1 in 100 babies are born with a heart defect. This means that thousands of families face a difficult journey, navigating the complexities of congenital heart disease and the need for life-saving interventions.

This is why we’ve proudly partnered with SickKids in the fight against Broken Hearts. Since 2014, we’ve raised over $2.44 million through initiatives like our Annual Charity Golf Classic, SickKids Day – where we donate 1% of our sales, and our Annual Staff 5K Walk Fundraiser. But our work is far from done. This year, we’re determined to exceed the $3 million milestone, and with the support of our incredible partners and travel community, we know we can do it.

The funds raised will directly contribute to groundbreaking research, world-class care, and the training of future leaders in cardiac critical care and cardiovascular surgery. Together, we’re helping children live longer, healthier lives, and ensuring that SickKids can continue to make life-saving advancements for years to come.

Thanks to the incredible support from TravelBrands in 2022, we were able to move forward with the renovation of the Cardiac Operating Suite. I’m pleased to share that the rebuild of one of the hospital’s busiest operating rooms is now complete. This is where surgeons will treat the most complex heart conditions in the province.
